On June 20, 2016, we are celebrating the inaugural World FSHD Day to raise awareness for Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy. Participants from across the globe, including individuals with FSHD, their families and supporters, and advocacy organizations, are coming together in various ways to raise awareness for FSHD, one of the most prevalent forms of Muscular Dystrophy.
To raise awareness and to fundraise for treatments and a cure, Julia has launched her Kilometres for a Cure campaign. For every dollar that is donated to her campaign, Julia (and her co-riders) will cycle one (1) kilometre, completing a series of bike rides over the course of the summer as donations come in.
Donating is easy! Click here to make your donation, and then follow Julia’s progress under the RIDES section of the website and on Instagram under the hashtags #WorldFSHD #CureFSHD. Don’t forget to share this page with your friends to help spread the word about FSHD and Kilometres for a Cure!
